Buying a Lens

Lenses to Buy

As you buy your DSLR camera, buying a lens would be one of those things that would get into your head as well, most especially if you are planning to take photography seriously and turn it into a side job or even your main job. When buying lenses for your DSLR, one very important thing to consider is the quality of the focal length. This easily defines the coverage of the lens and how much your subjects will fit into the images that you create. Keep in mind that 50 mm are the standard lenses, which is similar to the magnification of the human eye. You must know which focal length you are looking for to get the best out of your deal.

Those lenses that have smaller focal lengths are wide angled as they fit more into the photo. 25 mm lenses will have twice the diagonal field view of the standard lenses. This type is best for large structures, landscapes and big group shots. Lenses that would go below 20 mm are the ultra-wide angle lenses, which are best when taking a shot of very large subjects like taking a shot of a football stadium from the roof.
